This video is a bit more off topic than most of the serious, hard core truth, historical or educational subjects that I cover. But I felt compelled to share some of my thoughts and observations.
-
And this is actually an interesting subject that has many different things related to it of great relevance. The fact that Games are such a big segment of the economy alone makes it important.
(Of course the only important part about that is, the Income of the workers, not the Mega Corporations and Monopolies)

***The History And Evolution of Computer/Console (RPG) Role Playing Games. The Quest for Perfection That Goes Far Beyond Technology, Art or Design***
-
Role Playing Games represent the most difficult challenge in all of the seperate genre, and can incorporate all of the same aspects found in the others.
-
Far more than just a Hack And Slash Shooter or simple fun and entertainment.
The ideal Role Playing Game should represent "The Hero's Quest" and "The Call To Adventure." A pathway to something that holds higher meaning and purpose than just plunder and conquest.
-
The RPG format requires far more complexity and advanced capabilities that must be programmed in to allow for extensive complex interactions.
-
RPG's are far more the sum of their parts. Many manifold considerations must be carefully weighed to create a design that brings everything together in just the right balance.
-
PC Games have come a very long way from their humble beginnings. RPG's in particular began as nothing but a Text Interface. Then providing only the most simple of graphics to represent the world. The users imagination has to be stirred. And the quest was far more focused on solving mysteries or puzzles, and intelligence was required for a player to do well.
-
The current level of technology is truly impressive. HD Graphics, Audio Sound Effects and high level Music Compositions. The level of interaction now possible is really only limited by the programmers and the Controller Interface.
-
The amazing advancements made since the early games allows for so many more options. But that also brings up one of the most important questions Game Producers must answer:
-
What type of game will it be? What type of tasks will the Game chose to focus on?
-
That is the hard question because you will not be able to satisfy every Target Audience.
-
What the users of Role Playing Games desire, can have a vast gap between what beginners want, and what advanced players who have years of experience figuring out the most difficult of problems desire. Such advanced players require much more difficult challenges to test their skills and intelligence to give them a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.
-
That most often leaves advanced players who were originally attracted to intellectually challenging problem and puzzle solving found in the early RPG's out of luck.
+
But as the level of technological capabilities and the skills of programmers increase, so does the expectations of the game players as well.
-
If the rate of game development continues to evolve at the same pace,
(No Multi-Crisis, World War or Great Depression) then I predict that games will have to go beyond merely flashy graphics and catchy music. For RPG's in particular, it will probably require much of an elaborate story. And it will probably become possible to set a game to alternate options that make problems more difficult for advanced players. This is of course already a common thing to make fighting more easy or difficult. But as the Game Industry evolves, it is going to require such new types of capabilities to satisfy customers.
-
But more than that. To be competitive, they are going to have to make games more alluring to the players by making the game have more personal meaning to the users. What do I mean? Have you ever had a movie that you liked so much that you watched it a hundred times? Something that you connected with and identified with on a deeper level?
-
Just like a good movie has a certain feeling to it, a good game should have it's own certain feeling as well. But even more so because of the interactive emersion.
-
Players are going to not only want productions that have a meaningful story, with art and music that they like and personally identify with, but they are going to expect it.
-
One of the biggest changes that we should expect is, that Artificial Intelligence is going to be replacing workers in the Game Industry.
-
That is extremely unfortunate. The quality of such AI Creations is not yet known. But it would at least enable AI to include such additional alternate choices of Interactions, Options are Alternate Settings without the Great expense that would it would cost using real people to code and create art.
-
The only thing that I can suggest to fight the AI replacement of all workers is to Make Certain that we as consumers have the option to buy from work done or created by Real People. The Technocrat Oligarchs will of coarse fo everything they can to prevent that, if they do in fact succeed in our Enslavement.
