Salvation - Can it be lost? - Show Notes

Summary:
Long ago the idea of sinning to a point of losing your salvation was introduced into the church as a doctrine; but is it sound doctrine? When we fail to rightly divide we mix the gospel of grace with the national salvation program of Israel, which introduces the false idea of losing salvation. Let’s examine the Scriptures.

Notes:
How can we ever KNOW we have eternal life if it could be lost by our own actions?

If we could sin to lose salvation, there is no completeness. If we can sin a particular sin to fall away, God lied about having forgiven you all trespasses.

Salvation is a gift given to those who call, not to those who live right. Why, then, would it become conditional to keep upon you living right?

If works are not a part of gaining salvation, how can works be a part of keeping salvation? Was Christ’s blood not enough to keep us saved?

Paul committed his salvation to the Lord Jesus Christ. Have you? Are you trusting in your ability to remain saved and free from sin, or are you trusting in the shed blood of Christ to keep you saved?

Takeaway:
Our salvation is complete! Out atonement is now! The reason we are saved from wrath is because we have already received forgiveness. All of your sins were in the future when Christ died to pay for all sins. That includes the ones you do tomorrow. The blood of Christ is sufficient to pay your sin debt!
